2014年6月21日、アスンシオン中心街からやや遠い大きな公園に行った。広い敷地に沢山の樹木が茂っていて、池も2つある。池に黒く大きいカモが浮いていた。全身黒く見えるが翼を広げると内側は白い。人馴れしていて餌をやる人の所に集まっていく。この黒いカモが南米原産のノバリケンで家禽化したものはバリケンと呼ばれ、「フランス鴨」としても有名だそうです。身を挺してフランス料理に貢献しているカモだったのですか。
June 21, 2014, I went to a large park a little farther from downtown Asuncion. Many trees are growing there and also two ponds are. Big black duck were floating in the pond. Whole body looked black but when it opened the wing the inside of it was white. The ducks are accustomed to people and gather at the people who feed them. This black duck is the wild Muscovy Duck native of South America and domestic duck of it is also called French duck. Are you the famous duck contributing to human culture through sacrificing for the French cuisine!
