- 2015年8月6 ? 8日、アスンシオンから車で約5時間の場所にあるチャコ地方のLoma Plataに旅行した。主にメノナイト移住地を訪れた。 8月8日、Loma Plataからアスンシオンに車で国道9号線を通って帰る途中、湿原に中型の鳥の群がいるのが見えた。 遠いので肉眼では良く分からなかったが、写真を見ると複数の鳥類の集団だった。 中でも大きいのは現地でチャハと呼ばれるサケビドリだった。この鳥は南アメリカ中部の固有種である。
- On August 6 ? 8, 2015, six of us traveled around Loma Plata of the Chaco district in Paraguay which located about five hours from Asuncion by car. We mainly visited Mennonite Colonies. On August 8, on the way back I saw a flock of medium-sized birds in the damp plain. Because it was far, they were not clear by naked eye, but were consists of different species of birds after examined by expanded photos. The largest bird in the group was Southern Screamer that was called Chaja locally. This bird is endemic to central part of South America.

On August 8, on the way back from Loma Plata to Asuncion by car, I saw a flock of medium-sized birds in the damp plain.

群の中の1羽が比較的近い場所を歩いていたので頭部の特徴も分かる写真を撮れた。
I was able to take some photos which exhibit characteristic of the head because one of them
in the group walked relatively near place.
