アイイロツバメ (Notiochelidon cyanoleuca)

2014年7月11-12日、ペルー国のマチュピチュを訪問した。ここは山頂に築かれ幻と化したインカの小都市であり、スペイン人征服者によって破壊されることなく残った。神殿は精巧に組み合わされた石材で作られている。他方、住民の部屋は自然に近い形の石材で作られているので隙間もある。現在、この地の居住者はアイイロツバメやビスカッチャ達である。上空や見下ろす絶壁の空間を沢山のツバメが舞っている。朝早く訪れると、岩場で休憩しているツバメたちを見ることが出来る。
July 11 to 12, 2014 we visited Machu Picchu, Peru. Ｔｈｉｓ is the so-called lost city of the Incas built on the summit and left undestroyed by the Spanish conquerors. The temple is made of stone combined finely. On the other hand, the room of the residents is made of almost natural stones and consequently there are many gaps. Currently, residents of this city are Blue-and-white Swallows and Viscachas. A lot of swallows are flying in overlooking sky and in the space of cliffs. When you visit early in the morning, it is possible to see the swallows having a break on the rocks.
早朝7時からのワイナピチュ（2,720 m）登山のため、マチュピチュ遺跡を通り過ぎ登山口に向かった。その途中、岩で休んでいるアイイロツバメを何羽も見ることが出来た。
We headed to the trailhead for climbing Mt. Wayna Picchu (2,720 m) at 7:00 early morning, passing the Machu Picchu ruins. Along the way, we were able to see Blue-and-white Swallows resting on the rock.

7時10分にワイナピチュ登山入り口で記名し登山道を歩いた。途中で、絶壁に生える木の枝に休み羽繕いをしているアイイロツバメを見た。
We wrote our names at the climbing entrance at 7:10 and walked the trail to Mt. Wayna Picchu. Along the way, I saw a Blue-and-white Swallow that was grooming on a branch of a tree grown on cliffs.

ワイナピチュ登山道の石段でしゃがんで路傍の小さい花の写真を撮っていたら、石段の手が届きそうな所にアイイロツバメが3羽舞い降りてきた。ツバメの背中は黒いが青く光って見え、喉から腹部にかけて真っ白だ。
When I was taking a picture of a small roadside flower crouching in the stone steps of Mt. Wayna Picchu trail, three Blue-and-white Swallows had descended on the stone steps near likely to reach by hand. Back of the swallow is black but appeared to glowing blue, and it is white from the throat to belly.
