チャムネツバメ (Progne tapera)

グラシエラ牧場で見たツバメ（Swallow seen in the Graciela ranch.）

• 2014年9月13-14日、パラグアイ南部の広大な牧場、La Estancia La Gracielaへの野鳥観察ツアーに参加した。 初日の朝、牧場内の目的地に着くと近くの木にツバメが止っていた。ツバメを写真で見ると、胸郭部分と頭部が薄いこげ茶色をしている。 午後にはツバメの背中が見える写真を撮った。背中はこげ茶色であり波のような模様がある。チャムネツバメと思われる。
• September 13 to 14, 2014, I participated in the birding tour to the vast ranch in southern Paraguay, “La Estancia La Graciela”. Early morning of the first day, swallows were perching on a tree branch nearby at the destination in the ranch. Looking at the photo of the swallow, head and thorax part are thin dark brown. In the afternoon, I took pictures of the swallow whose back was visible. The back of the swallow is dark brown with wave-like pattern. This swallow may be the Brown-chested martin.

ツアー初日目の早朝、訪問した牧場の庭先にある木に数羽のツバメがいた。 腹部は白いが喉から胸にかけて大きいネクタイでも着けたような薄いこげ茶色の模様がある。

Early morning of the first day of the tour, a few swallows were perching on the tree branch in the front yard of the visited ranch. The abdomen is white but there is a pattern like a big necktie with thin dark brown.

午後にはツバメの背中が見える写真を撮った。背中はこげ茶色であり波のような模様がある。

In the afternoon, I took pictures of the swallow whose back was visible. The back of the swallow is dark brown with wave-like pattern.

近くにもう一羽のツバメが止った。先ほどのツバメは大きな口を開けて餌をねだっている。若いツバメ（多分オス）と母親ではないだろうか。

Another swallow has perched nearby. The swallow has begged for food by opening a big mouth. I wonder if these are a young swallow (male probably) and his mother.
