冬から春へ、若鳥が巣立つ季節だ (Winter to spring, when baby birds leave nests)
- 2015年8月29日、冬から春への季節の変わり目で暑い日になった。この季節になるとニュワス公園の池近くの休憩所付近で良くツバメを見かける。 ここに巣を作るからだ。巣立った若いツバメは時々瓦屋根に休憩していることがある。 飛んでいるツバメの写真を撮っていたら、近くの木に小鳥が止った。小鳥の背中の模様を見て、私はスズメかなと思ったが、 良く見ると顔つきが違う。撮った写真を見ると、くちばしがテリバネコウウチョウにそっくりだ。 クリバネコウウチョウなのか、初めて見た。この鳥はテリバネコウウチョウと違って託卵する習性はないという。
- On August 29, 2015, it was a hot day at the turning point of seasons from winter to spring. In this season I see swallows well near the rest station close to the pond of Ñu Guazu park. This is because they make nests here. The young swallow which left the nest sometimes takes a break on the tiled roof. Small birds perched on a tree nearby when I was taking photos of the flying swallow. Seeing the back of the bird, I thought they might be sparrows, but looking at closely their looks was different. The bill looks just like Shiny cowbird when I watched the photo I took. I see, this bird is Bay-winged cowbird, which I saw for the first time. It is said that unlike the Shiny cowbird, this species is not a brood parasite.
ニュワス公園の池近くの休憩所付近で飛んでいるツバメの写真を撮っていたら、近くの木に小鳥が止った。
背中の模様を見てスズメかなと思ったが、良く見ると顔つきが違う。撮った写真を見ると、くちばしがテリバネコウウチョウにそっくりだ。
クリバネコウウチョウなのか、初めて見た。
Small birds perched on a tree nearby when I was taking photos of the flying swallow.
Seeing the back of the bird, I thought they might be sparrows, but looking at closely their looks was different.
The bill looks just like Shiny cowbird when I watched the photo I took. I see, this bird is the Grayish baywing,
which I saw for the first time.

小鳥は3羽の群だった。右の小鳥は親から餌をもらうようなしぐさをするので、この春に巣立った若鳥のようだ。
The bird was a group of three. The right bird is like a young bird which left the nest in this spring
because it do the gesture to get bait from a parent.

小鳥は翼に赤褐色の模様があるのでbay-winged cowbirdとも呼ばれるとのこと。天気が良く陰が濃いので全身の特徴が分かりにくい。
The small bird is called Grayish baywing or Bay-winged cowbird, because the wing has a red-brown (= bay) pattern.
Because it is fine and a shade is dark, the characteristic of the whole body is not clear.

小鳥は少し移動したが、頭部が良く見えない。
The bird moved a little, but the head does not look well.

ようやくほぼ全身が見える写真を撮れた。この後、すぐ小鳥は飛び去った。
この鳥はテリバネコウウチョウと違って託卵する習性はないという。偶然とはいえ、この日もまた新しい小鳥の写真を撮れた。
Finally I was able to take a photo which showed the whole body. The bird flew away immediately after this.
It is said that unlike the Shiny cowbird, this species is not a brood parasite.
By a chance, I was able to take the photos of a new species of bird on this day.
