- 2015年12月6日、ニュワス公園と隣接するGuazu Metropolitano Parkの両方を散歩した。プリンシパル湖の近くで木の枝に止っているキツツキを見た。11月29日にも見たが2枚しか撮影できなかったアオシマオゲラだ。1時間半後に再度電話線に止っているアオシマオゲラに出会った。この時は順光の位置から写真を撮れた。羽毛の色が良く分かったが、餌を捕った後らしく、くちばしが泥で汚れているのも良く分かった。
- On December 6, 2015, I strolled in Nu Guazu Park and adjacent Guazu Metropolitano Park. I saw a woodpecker which perched on the branch of the tree near Principal Lake. It was Green-barred woodpecker which I saw on November 29 but was able to take only two photos then. I came across the woodpecker perched on a telephone wire again after about one and a half hours. I was able to take photos then from the position of the order light. I understand the color of the feather well; in addition I could see well that the bill was dirty with mud probably because the bird had caught bait.
2015年11月29日、昼近くGuazu Metropolitano Parkに戻りプリンシパル湖散歩道を歩いていると前方の電柱にキツツキが止まっているのが見えた。いつものアリツカゲラかと思って通り過ぎようとしたが頭部に赤い色が見えたので写真を撮った。赤黒2色帽子を被ったアオシマオゲラだった。パラグアイ全域に生息するという割には出会ったことがなく初対面だ。この時は気付くのが遅かったので写真を2枚撮った時飛び去った。この公園に滞在しているのならまた会えるだろう。

アオシマオゲラは餌を探している様子ではない。突然大きく口を開けた。さえずったわけではない。あくびをしたのかな？先端の曲がった独特の舌が見える。キツツキは約1分後にどこかに飛び去った。
It does not look like that the woodpecker is looking for bait. Suddenly the bird opened the mouth widely. It did not sing. Did the bird yawn? I can see its unique tongue with a bent on the tip. The woodpecker flew away somewhere about one minute later.

プリンシパル湖周辺を1時間半散策して、往路と別の道を帰った。偶然その道の電話線に止っているアオシマオゲラに再会した。
Eye is clearly open; the collar design looks like heart-shape and is outstanding. This bird seems to be an attractive female. I strolled in around the lake for about one and a half hours and came back through the way which was different from the road of coming in. I met the Green-barred woodpecker again accidentally which was perching on a telephone wire on the way.

この時は順光の位置から写真を撮れた。羽毛の色が良く分かるが、餌を捕った後らしくくちばしが泥で汚れているのも良く分かる。キツツキの上半身は、黒と赤の帽子にヒョウ柄のショール、人間のファッションにもなりそうなデザインだ。
I was able to take photos then from the position of the order light. キツツキは餌を捕った後のためかほとんど動かない。振り返った時の頭部を見ると、後頭部全体が赤い羽毛で覆われている。
The woodpecker hardly moves probably after breakfast. The whole back of the head is covered with red feather.

2015年12月12日、朝雨だったが9時頃になると晴れてきたのでメトロポリタン公園に散歩に出た。プリンシパル湖の近くで、また木の枝に止っているアオシマオゲラに出会った。餌を探しているようには見えない。やはり食後の休憩だろうか？かなり遠いので色は前回ほど鮮明ではない。
On December 12, 2015, I strolled in Nu Guazu Park and adjacent Guazu Metropolitano Park which was another big park contracted northwest of Nu Guazu Park. I saw a woodpecker which perched on the branch of the tree near Principal Lake.
