世界は広いなあ、白いキツツキは初めてだ（First encounter to white woodpecker: What a large world!）

• 2015年8月22日、隣り合わせのニュワス公園とメトロポリタン公園を散歩した。 ニュワス公園の草原を歩いていると見慣れない白い小鳥が2,3羽小さい木の枝に止っているのに気付いた。 その小鳥はキツツキの姿をしていた。赤い、青い、あるいは黒いキツツキは日本にもいる。 でも白いキツツキは日本にはいない。南米には白いキツツキがいる、世界は広いなあ。
• On August 22, 2015, I strolled in Ñu Guazu Park and adjacent Guazu Metropolitan Park. When I was on the grassy plain of Ñu Guazu Park, I noticed two or three white small but unfamiliar birds perched on the branch of a small tree. The small bird had the body of woodpecker. Red, blue or black woodpecker lives also in Japan. But the white woodpecker does not live in Japan. The white woodpecker does live in the South America. What a large world.

2015年8月22日、隣り合わせのメトロポリタン公園とニュワス公園を散歩した。ニュワス公園の草原を歩いていると、 見慣れない白い小鳥が2,3羽小さい木の枝に止っているのに気付いた。

赤い、青い、あるいは黒いキツツキは日本にもいる。でも白いキツツキは日本にはいない。南米には白いキツツキがいる、世界は広いなあ。

キツツキは別の大きい木に移動した。よりキツツキらしい姿勢をしている。目の周りの黄色いアイリングもはっきり見える。 シロキツツキはパラグアイ全域に生息するとあるが、これまで見たことはなかった。キツツキは、 この日にこの公園にたまたま友達と一緒に遊びに来たのかな？
The woodpecker moved to a different big tree. The posture is more like the woodpecker. I can see the yellow eye ring around eyes clearly. It is recorded that the White woodpecker inhabits throughout Paraguay, but I have never seen it before. Has the woodpecker come to his park to play with friends by chance on this day?

キツツキは時々さえずったが、その時の写真を見ると目を閉じている。

複数の写真を見ると、さえずる時必ず目を閉じるわけではない。

横を向いてさえずった時の写真でも目を閉じている。さえずる時には目を閉じることが多いようだ。 まぶたは上下ではなく45度くらいの角度方向に動く。公園で普通に見かけるアリツカゲラのまぶたの動きも同じだった。
Even a photo when the bird turn to the side and sang, it was closing its eyes. The bird seems to close its eyes often when it sings. The eyelids move mot to and bottom but in the angle of around 45 degrees. The movement of eyelids of Campo flicker which is popular in this park was also the same.
