- 2015年4月19、25日、ニュワス公園を散歩した。広い敷地に沢山の樹木が茂っていて、池も2つある。 大きい方の池にはカモ、ガチョウ、ナンベイレンカクが常駐している。池には小さい魚が沢山泳いでいるのが見える。 この魚を食べる水鳥が飛来する。これまでに、ナンベイヒメウ、ダイサギ、ササゴイを見た。 加えて、この日にカイツブリを見た。このカイツブリは以前ペルーで見たオビハシカイツブリだ。 カイツブリ科の鳥は世界中に広く分布する。
- April 19 and 25, 2015, I took a walk Nu Guazu Park. Many trees are growing there and also two ponds are. Duck, goose and Wattled Jacana are resident in the pond of bigger one. It is seen in the pond that a lot of small fish swim. Waterfowls eating this fish come flying. I watched Neotropic Cormorant, Great Egret and Striated heron so far. In addition, I watched a grebe on this day. This grebe is Pied-billed grebe I saw in Peru before. The bird of Grebe family is widely distributed over the world.
この日にカイツブリを見た。このカイツブリは以前ペルーで見たオビハシカイツブリだ。
このカイツブリは北アメリカ、中央アメリカ、南アメリカでごく普通に見られる。
I watched a grebe on this day. This grebe is Pied-billed grebes I saw in Peru before.
They are most commonly found throughout North America, Central America and South America year round.

オビハシカイツブリは薄灰色の短く鋭い鶏のようなくちばしを持ち、夏には名前が示すように、くちばしに黒い幅の広い帯模様ができます。
They have a short, blunt chicken-like bill that is a light grey color, which in summer is encircled by a broad black band (hence the name).

- ２015年6月6日、良い天気だ。大きい池にいつものカイツブリが2羽いた。1羽はもう食事が終わったらしいがもう一羽は水に潜り続けていた。タウナギを捕った。天気が良いので前回より見やすい写真になった。それにしても、タウナギがこの池にこんなに生息するなんて驚きます。
- On June 6, 2015, it was fine. There were two familiar grebes in the big pond of the Park. As for one of them, a meal seemed to be already over, but another one continued to dive into the water. The grebe caught a Fluta alba. Because it was fine, I could take the photo clearer than the last time. I am surprised that Fluta alba inhabits so much in this pond.
池にいるカイツブリが水に潜って漁をしている。かなり遠いが魚を捕まえたように見えたので写真を撮った。
A grebe is diving in the pond and fishing. It was considerably far,

細長い魚だ、うなぎだろうか？南米にはシンブランクスと呼ばれる魚が広く生息する。
鱗やえらぶたが無く、ひれもほとんどない、浮袋もなく空気呼吸をする肺魚のような魚で南米タウナギとも呼ばれるそうです。
It is a slim fish. An eel? Fish called Synbranchus inhabits South America widely.
It does not have scales, gill cover, air-bladder and is almost finless,

- 2015年5月23日、ニュワス公園を散歩した。この公園で4月19日にオビハシカイツブリを初めて見た。 その後いつも見かけるのでここの池に常駐するようになったようだ。ただ、これまでは池に浮いているだけで水にもぐる動作を見たことがなかった。 今回初めてカイツブリが魚を捕らえて食べるところを見た。
