- 2015年10月4日、ニュワス公園を散歩した。日曜日なので多くの市民がジョギングをしている。ニュワス公園とメトロポリタン公園の境界にある小川でシギを見かけた。ややずんぐりしたシギであり、飛んでいる時に、翼の外側と内側、尾羽覆い、尾羽の中心部は黒っぽいことが分かった。このような羽毛の配色から、このシギはコシグロクサシギと思われる。このシギの繁殖地はアラスカやカナダで越冬地は中央アメリカや南アメリカと記録されているので、長い渡りをする小鳥だ。シギは越冬地としてたまたまこの公園を訪れたのだろう。初めて会えて良かった。
- On October 4, 2015, I strolled in Nu Guazu Park. Many citizens were jogging since it was Sunday. I saw two sandpipers in the small river at the border of Nu Guazu Park and Guazu Metropolitano Park. It was a dumpy sandpiper with a dark green back, grayish head and breast and otherwise white underparts. It was visible in flight, with wings dark above and below, and a dark rump and tail centre. From the color of the feather, this sandpiper seems to be Solitary sandpiper. It is recorded that the breeding place of this sandpiper is Alaska and Canada, and wintering ground is Central America and South America. The small bird migrates for a very long distance. The sandpiper would visit this park by chance as a wintering place. It was good that I could meet for the first time.

ややずんぐりしたシギであり、体の上面には灰茶色の模様があり、腹部は白い。翼の外側も内側も同じような色をしている。
The back of the bird has a design of the ash brown, and the abdomen is white. Both the outside and inside of the wing are a similar color.
