- 2015年1月3日、ニュワス公園内を散歩した。以前ヒメウソを見た湖畔の草原に行くと、小さい小鳥の群が動き回っていたが、近寄ろうとすると近くの葉の茂った木の枝に隠れてしまうのでなかなか写真を撮れない。前回同様、黒いヒワもいた。今回はAuto modeで写真を撮った。明るさとカラーバランスがうまく調整されたので、青っぽい光沢を持つ黒い羽の色が前回より明瞭に写っていた。近くにつがいと思われるメスもいた。メスの写真も前回より明瞭に撮れた。
- January 3, 2015, I took a walk in Nu guazu park. When I went to the grassland near the pond where I saw Seedeater last time, group of small birds were moving around, it was hard to take photos because they hid in the branches of leafy trees nearby if I was going to be closer. As the previous time there was a black finch. This time I took a picture in Auto mode. Since the brightness and color balance were well adjusted, black feathers with shiny blue reflection were clearly expressed than the previous time. There was also a female, probably a couple, near the male. Photo of the female was also better then the previous.
小枝に止ったシコンヒワ。うまくカメラの焦点と明るさが決まったので、黒っぽいが青い光沢を持つ羽毛が綺麗に写った。
Blue-black grassquit that perched on the twig. Since the focus and brightness of the camera was suitable, the dark feathers with blue luster were beautifully caught.

後姿を見ると、翼の先は茶色っぽい色をしている。

- 2014年12月27日、ニュワス公園内を散歩した。以前ヒメウソを見た湖畔の草原に行くと、小さい小鳥の群が動き回っていたが、近寄ろうとすると近くの葉の茂った木の枝に隠れてしまうのでなかなか写真を撮れない。しばらく見ていたら黒い小鳥が近くの小さい木の枝に止った。この公園には黒いテリバネコウウチョウが多いが、この小鳥はそれよりずっと小さい。中央アメリカから南アメリカにかけてフウキンチョウ科の黒いヒワが住んでいることが分かった。

When I was watching them for a while a black bird perched on a branch of a small tree nearby. Although there is a lot of black bird, Shiny Cowbird, in this park, this bird is much smaller than that. I have found that there is a black finch in Thraupidae that breezes from southern Mexico through Central America, and South America.

くちばしの形から、この小鳥は虫ではなく植物の実を食べる小鳥と推定される。

特徴のあるさえずりをするらしい。中央アメリカから南アメリカにかけてフウキンチョウ科の黒いヒワが住んでいることが分かった。

オスと同様、植物の種子を食べるのに適応した形のくちばしを持つ。後姿を見ると左右の翼の模様が異なる。このような例は他の小鳥のメスにも見られた。

メスの羽毛の色はオスとは随分違っている。でも姿は大変似ている。

- シコンヒワのオスが飛び去った2分後、木の枝に1羽の小さい小鳥が止まった。 全身の色が地味なのでメスだが、seedeaterのメスはどの種類も似ているので判定が難しい。 直前にシコンヒワのオスがいたので、そのメスと思われる。

It is a female because the color of the whole body is sober, but it is difficult to determine the species because female of any kind of seedeater is similar. I think this bird is the female of the Blue-black grassquit, because there was a male just before.
