- Wikipedia: The Glittering-bellied Emerald (Chlorostilbon lucidus) is a species of hummingbird in the Trochilidae family. It has widely been listed by the scientific name Chlorostilbon aureoventris, but this was shown to be mistaken by J. F. Pacheco and B. M. Whitney in 2006. It is found in north-eastern Argentina, eastern and central Bolivia, eastern Brazil, Paraguay, and Uruguay. It is widespread and often common in a wide range of semi-open habitats, including gardens and parks.

ハチドリさん、小枝に止って休憩中です。額に沢山花粉を付けている。これも共生ですね。

初めて見たハチドリ（Hummingbird met for the first time）
2013年1月14日、朝、パラグアイ国イタグア市内ホームステイ先のお母さんが「ハチドリがいるから見なさい。」と言って教えてくれた。 カメラを持って近づこうとしたら飛び立ってしまった。でもまた戻ってきてくれた。花も咲いてないのになぜ？ 枝に止まって、写真撮ってもいいよ、と言っているみたいだった。数枚の写真を撮る余裕をくれた後、鉄砲玉のように飛び去った。 上からみたら綺麗な色も見えたのに、下から見上げることしか出来なかった、そよ風に軟らかい羽毛がちょっと逆立っている。

飛ぶハチドリ（Flying hummingbird）
ツアー一日目の昼食の時間にブーゲンビリアの花に来たハチドリ。ハチドリは上に伸びる木の枝の方向に飛んだかと思うと、
一瞬ホバリングしながら空中に停止した。無重力にでもなったような不思議な光景の写真を偶然撮れた。
このハチドリの腹部は灰色に見えるのでアオムネヒメエメラルドハチドリと思われる。
A hummingbird, came to the flower of Bougainvillea at lunch time on the first day of the trip.

I was able to take a photo by a chance that looked strange as if it was in zero gravity.
This hummingbird seems the Glittering-bellied Emerald because the belly is grayish.

2014年4月16日、アスンシオン動植物園（Jardin Botanico y Zoologico de Asuncion）に行きました。 広大なこの庭園には沢山の樹木があり野鳥の姿も見かけました。 一番印象に残ったのは、動物園のカラカラを見ていたらオリ近くに咲いている花に突然ハチドリが飛んで来て宝石のような姿を見せてくれたことです。 近くでハチドリを見かけることはめったにないのです。

2013年4月6日、アスンシオンの街を散歩中、 トックリキワタ （スペイン語で"Palo borracho"（酔っぱらいの樹） と呼ばれる）の花に来たハチドリに出会った、古い4倍ズームのコンパクト・デジカメを持ってたので、目検討でシャッターを切ったらかろうじて写っていた、 動きが速いね、蜜はいい飛行エネルギー源なんだろうな。
