パフムジツグミ (Turdus grayi)

2013年10月31日、アルゼンチン側のイグアスの滝観光のため国立公園に入園すると、近くにある低い石の塀に一羽の小鳥が止まっていた。背中は赤茶けた色で、腹部も薄い茶色をしている。くちばしは黒っぽい黄土色、目の虹彩は暗い赤色をしている。スズメより大きくツグミ科の特徴を持っているが南米のツグミに該当する種を探せなかった。

October 31, 2013, immediately upon entrance to the National Park for tourism of Iguazu falls in Argentina, a bird was perching on a low stone wall nearby. Back color is reddish brown and the abdomen also thin brown. The beak is dark ocher and eye iris is dark red. It is larger than sparrow and has the features of the thrush family, but I could not find the species corresponding to the thrush of South America.

コスタ・リカ旅行を前に野鳥を調べていると、その国の国鳥であるツグミに良く似ていると思った。その鳥が南米にも住んでいるんだろうか、それとも迷い鳥なんだろうか？

Before travel to Costa Rica I have been examining wild bird in that country and found this bird is similar to the Clay-colored Thrush that is the national bird of the country. I wonder the thrush also lives in South America or is it a lost bird?
