ヤブハエドリ (Sublegatus modestus)

CITEC（職場）裏の草原で見たタイランチョウ (A bird like in Tyrannidae seen at the back grassland of CITEC (my working place).)

• 金曜日は研究室の掃除にくる。掃除の間、CITEC（職場）裏の草原に行って見た。木の枝にタイランチョウと思われる小鳥がいた。
• Friday, the cleaning staff comes to the laboratory. During the cleaning, I went to the back grassland of CITEC (my working place). A bird like in Tyrannidae was on a branch of a tree.

金曜日は研究室の掃除にくる。掃除の間、CITEC（職場）裏の草原に行った。木の枝にタイランチョウと思われる小鳥がいた。
Friday, the cleaning staff comes to the laboratory. During the cleaning, I went to the back grassland of CITEC (my working place). A bird like in Tyrannidae was on a branch of a tree.

9月8日にここで見かけたキバラシラギクタイランチョウと似ている。 翼の模様、腹が黄色っぽい、目の周囲に白い縁がある、燕尾風の尾羽は共通だ。でも冠毛がなく全身がスリムに見える。

It is similar to a Yellow-bellied elaenia that I saw here on September 8. Pattern of the wings, the belly is yellowish, there is a white border around the eyes, and swallowtail are common. But it does not have crest and whole body seems slimmer.

キバラシラギクタイランチョウのメスか幼鳥だろうか？

Is it either female or young bird of Yellow-bellied elaenia?

2羽の小鳥を並べて比較すると違った種のように見える。パラグアイの北部に住むヤブハエドリと良く似ているが確実ではない。

When two birds are compared side by side, they look like different species. It is very similar to Southern scrub flycatcher living in the north part of Paraguay, but not sure.
