私達がMonteverdeのハチドリ園に行ったら、設置された蜜ビンにたくさんのハチドリが集まり飛び交っていました。
ハチドリは人間を全く恐れません。
When we went to the hummingbird garden of Monteverde, many hummingbirds were gathering and flew around installed honey bottles.
They were not shy of human beings at all.

セルバ・ベリデ・ロッジ: 鮮やかな青緑色の羽毛、黒い頭部が特徴の小さい鳥が来ました。Green Honeycreeperのオスでしょう。
Selva Verde Lodge: A small bird characterized by its black head and blue-green feathers has come. It would be male Green honeycreeper.
ムクドリモドキ科, Icteridae 5 species
コシアカフウキンチョウのメスと似ている小鳥だ。でも翼の模様が違う。渡り鳥のボルチモアムクドリモドキのメスではないだろうか。
This is a bird resembling the female Passerini's tanager. But the pattern of the wings is different.
It may be the female Baltimore oriole that is one of the migratory birds

私達は途中休憩を取るため森からでて案内所に戻りました。近くの柵に小さい小鳥が止まっていました。
白いアイリングのため目が大きく見えます。虫を捕るタイランチョウ科の小鳥のようです。
We went out of the forest to take a break on the way and came back to the rest place.
A small bird perched on a fence nearby. Eyes look big for the white eye ring.
It is like a small bird in the tyrant flycatcher family which catches insects.

コスタ・リカ国ラ・セルバ生物保護区、しばらく歩いていくと、騒々しい鳥の鳴き声が聞こえてきました、
そして近くの木の枝の上に大きな鳥の姿が見えました
La Selva Biological Station, Costa Rica: As we walked for a while, we heard noisy loud plee or quonk call of a bird
and we saw a big black bird on the branch of a tree nearby.

コスタ・リカ国ラ・セルバ生物保護区: 今度はガイドが、大きな木の梢近くにオオハシがいると教えてくれました。
La Selva Biological Station: Now the guide told us there were toucans near the treetops of a large tree.
キヌバネドリ科, Trogonidae 2 species
水色のアイリングのある黒い目、灰色っぽい背中、黄色の腹部と特徴のある中型の鳥が水辺の枝に止っていました。
キヌバネドリのメスかな。オスの羽は青緑色に輝き鮮やかなようです。
Dark eyes surrounded by a light blue eye ring, grayish back, bright yellow underparts, a medium-sized bird was perching
on a branch of a waterside tree. Wonder if female Trogon. The back of a male is said to be bright blue-green.
キツツキ科, Picidae 2 species
高い木の枝に頭部が赤いキツツキがジッとしています。まだ活動時間でないのか、雨模様のためか分かりませんがほとんど動きません。
A woodpecker with red head was perching still on a branch of a tall tree.
I do not know why the bird did not move, probably it is because of not active time or rainy condition.

モンテベルデ雲霧林自然保護区: 近くの小枝に腹部の黄色い小さい小鳥が止まっていました。ヤブフウキンチョウのようです。
Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve: A small bird with yellow belly perched on a twig nearby. It is like Common bush tanager.

やや近い木の枝に餌をくわえた小鳥が止っていました。周りを見回しますが人をあまり気にしないようです。
A bird with a bait was perching on a tree branch nearby. It looks around but does not seem to be careful much about the human.
カマドドリ科, Furnariidae 2 species
散策通路に立ち自然林を見ていたら突然小さい鳥が飛んで来て目の前の木の幹に張り付くように止りました。
このしぐさはキバシリの特徴です。
A small bird flew suddenly when we were standing in the walk passage and watching a natural forest
and stuck to a tree trunk in front. This gesture is a characteristic of Woodcreeper.

早朝、Selva Verde Lodge in Costa Ricaの小川に接する地面をせわしなく動き回る小さい小鳥がいた。

Selva Verde Lodge in Costa Rica early in the morning.

白い小形のサギがいる。黒い嘴、黄色の足指を持つ黒い脚、Snowy egretのようだ。
There was a small white heron. A slim black bill and long black legs with yellow feet, it seems the Snowy egret.

Fortunaから北へ約2時間、ニカラグア国境に近いLos Chilesでボートに乗り換え野生保護区を見学しました。
木の浮島のような場所にヒメコンドルがいました。何かを食べているようです（出発から53分後）。
About 2 hours north of Fortuna, we watched the place after transferring on the boat at Los Chiles
chose to the Nicaragua border. There was a Turkey Vulture in a place like floating island of trees.
It seems to be eating something (53 min after departure).

ハトが電線に止っている。頭部が灰色っぽく体が茶色の初めて見るハトだ。
A pigeon was perching on the electric wire. Head is grayish and the body is brown; first time I saw this pigeon.
ハチクイモドキ科, Momotidae １ species
宿泊しているトラップ･ファミリー・ロッジのベランダから庭と隣接する林が見えます。庭に時々色の鮮やかなハチクイモドキがやってきました。
We can see a garden and forest adjacent to it from the porch of the Trapp Family Lodge where we are staying.
A Motmot with bright color sometimes came over to the garden.

ポソ・アスールの草原の小枝にオオハシカッコウのような鳥がいた。
There was a bird such as Ani perching on a twig of grassland in Poso Asul.
ジャノメドリ科, Eurypygidae family 1 sepcies
コスタ・リカ国ラ・セルバ生物保護区、鳥は餌を探しながら観察小屋に近づいてきました。
暗く霧雨模様ですが、鳥は近くを（5m位）ゆっくり歩くので比較的明瞭な写真を撮れました。
La Selva Biological Station, Costa Rica: The bird has been approached to the observation hut while looking for food.
Though it was dark and light rain pattern, I was able to take photos relatively clear because the bird walked slowly nearby (about 5m).

A red small bird has come to the bird table of the Selva Verde Lodge. It would be Summer tanager.

サラピキ川での休憩を終えて橋を渡るときに下を見ると、石の上に小鳥がたたずんでいた。
Sarapiqui river: After finishing the rest we crossed the bridge and saw a bird that was standing on top of the stone.

ハチドリ喫茶店の所に行くとここにも蜜ビンにたくさんのハチドリが集まっていました。この小鳥も密を吸っていました。
どの科に属する鳥なのか分からない不思議な体形を持つ小鳥です。
When we gent to the Hummingbird Cafe, many hummingbirds were flying around the honey bottle also in here.
A small bird was also having honey. It is a small bird having a mysterious figure hard to understand
in which family of bird it belongs to.

??Arenal火山展望台: 我々のグループが展望台に着くと、水色をした中型の鳥の集団がやって来た。人馴れしていて人間の行動を読んで行動する。
View Point “Arenal Shire”: When our group arrived at the observatory, a flock of medium-sized birds with a light blue color came.
This bird did not afraid of man.

ガイドが遠くの木の梢に1羽の中型の小鳥が止まっていると教えてくれました。小雨模様でしかも遠いのですが写真を撮ってみました。
The guide taught us that there was a medium-sized bird perched on the treetop of a far tree.
I tried to take photos though it was far and also in light rain condition.

小さい鳥が木の陰から姿を見せ、歩き回りながらすぐ姿を消しました。かろうじて撮った写真を見るとイエミソサザイのようです。
A small bird turned up from the shade of a tree and disappeared immediately while walking around.

After about 2 minutes from starting, I saw the Neotropic cormorant that was perched on the tree branch along the river
during the Cano Negro Wildlife Refuge in Costa Rica boat tour.

We saw Anhinga, monkey, sloth, green lizard and Trogon during the Cano Negro Wildlife Refuge in Costa Rica boat tour.

chose to the Nicaragua border. Swallows were flying near the surface of the river. The swallow flew away many times adjacent to the boat
as if it was competing (after 4 min from starting).

La Selva生物保護区、モンテベルデ雲霧林保護区です。保護区は広いので一部を見ただけです。鳥名は素人判断であり確実ではありません。
We went to Costa Rica trip from January 19, 2015 through January 30, 11 nights for total of 12 days.
The purpose of the trip is to see birds, animals and nature of Costa Rica that is known for its rich biodiversity.
Visiting places were Arenal Volcano and Tabacon, Cano Negro Wildlife Refuge, La Selva Biological Station,
and Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve. Since the reserved area is wide we saw only a part
